PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the sense of operation satisfactory and to prevent communication time from being increased by utilizing the float of response of two-way communication, when one optical communication device sends to a different kind of communication device during two-way communication between the two optical communication devices. SOLUTION: There is a key input on the way to a two-way communication between a portable information terminal A and a personal computer B, and interrupt is performed with respect to an IrDA communication. In this case, although communication waits for a communication frame to end before finishing, because space time is an allowable time during which communication can be stopped, a key command is sent within this time. The computer B continues to send new data to the terminal A even during the transmission. The terminal A outputs a resend request RS to the computer B, when the transmission of the key command is finished, notifies the computer B of the interrupt still in progress of communication, makes the data to be resent from the succeeding frame, finishes the processing of data communication P2 and carries out disconnection processing P3. |
