PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conduct levitating position control with stability, even in an induction machine or the like, using a squirrel-cage rotor of simple structure and easy to manufacture. SOLUTION: In a rotary machine having no bearing, n-pole controlling magnetic fields are superposed in synchronization with rotating m-pole driving magnetic fields (n=m±2) for providing a rotor R with a rotational force, and further the n-pole controlling magnetic fields are increased or decreased according to displacement of the rotor R detected by a rotor R displacement detecting means to magnetically levitate the rotor R. In the rotary machine, the distribution of n-pole magnetic flux produced by the n-pole controlling magnetic fields is detected by a magnetic flux distribution detecting means, and the controlling magnetic fields are adjusted to correct deviation of the n-pole magnetic flux distribution from a command value. |
