PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a small scale common memory for assembling a variable length frame from plural-connected fixed length reception cells. SOLUTION: This device which is equipped with a small size common memory 3 composed of data buffer sequences 4b, 4c...4f for storing fixed length reception cell data 1 transfers data stored in the data buffer 4 to a system's main memory 14 every time a data buffer 4 is filled reception data. Thus assembly of a variable length frame is completed on the main memory 14 by repeating plural times of data transfers to the main memory 14 from the data buffer 4. |
