<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a large capacity type belt drive type magnetic tape cartridge ad its driving apparatus which enables common use of the tape cartridge of the 3.5-inch QIC(quarter inch cartridge) specification. SOLUTION: A tape cartridge 1 of QIC specification has the external size of 5.25-inch is set conforming to the QIC specification. In a side surface S forming a long side, a drive roller access window 8 facing the circumference surface of a drive capstan 7 is formed conforming to 5.25-inch QIC specification. At the front surface F forming a short side, the head access window 9 on which the magnetic tape 5 is crossing is formed conforming to the 3.5-inch QIC specification.</p> |
