PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time up to an initial screen just after communication start is displayed by thinning image data with a specific ratio, transferring it to the opposite terminal, increasing the ratio of the 2nd and succeeding image data to change it to be one and transferring it. SOLUTION: A ratio is M/N, M and N are natural numbers, initial value is M<N and N is a fixed value. In an initial screen, M is 1, and the ratio of the 2nd and succeeding image data increases the value of M so that the values of M and N can be equal. A space resolution converter 3 converts video data stored in frame memory 2 through an image inputting means 1 into 1/16 space resolution and outputs it to an image compressing means 4. The means 4 outputs a frame compression end signal 7 when compression is finished and a data transmitter 5 adds a space resolution signal 6 to compressed image data and sends it to a line. The converter 3 which receives a compression end signal output video data which is converted into 1/8 space resolution to the means, 4. This procedure is repeated. |
