<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper carrying device constituted so that the surface staining of a carrying roll and the deterioration of an unfixed toner image on a paper are reduced as to the paper carrying device arranged between a transfer unit and a fixing device in an electrostatic recorder executing double sided printing. SOLUTION: The paper carrying device is constituted of the carrying roll 1, a bias power source 10, an electrifier 6 and a cleaning unit 11. Then, a bias voltage VB (+1500V) whose polarity is positive is applied on the roll 1 by a DC voltage source 10. Besides, toner 8 (negatively electrifiable) and toner 9 (positively electrifiable) whose polarity are different are formed on both sides of the paper 5. A constant-current power source 7 (200μA) is connected to the electrifier 6. Then, negative electric charge is imparted to the paper 5 in a contact area between the paper 5 and roll 1. Thus, the toner 9 on the lower side of the paper is attracted to the paper 5 and the paper 5 is attracted to the surface of the roll 1.</p> |
