PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a case of a sealed battery for an electric vehicle and its assembling method wherein defects of welding do not occur, and proper welding can be carried out easily and stably by laser welding, then the sealed battery can be miniaturized and lightened. SOLUTION: A platy lid part 2 has the same shape as the periphery of an aperture end part 1a of a body part 1, and notches 2b are formed on the edge part of the lid part 2 so as to fit to the inside surface of the aperture end part 1a of the body part 1. Therefor, a convex fitting part 2a is formed at the lower part of the lid part 2 by the notches 2b. When the lid part 2 is welded to the body part 1, the fitting part 2a of the lid part 2 is fitted to the aperture end part 1a of the body part 1. Thus, notches 2b provided to the lid part 2 is stuck fast to the aperture end part 1a of the body part 1, and butt parts 1b of the lid part 2 to the body part 1 are formed on the side of the aperture end part 1a of the body part 1. Then the butt parts 1b are laser-welded. |
