A lacquer (I) contains: (A) a binding agent system; and (B) carbon black as a pigment whereby the carbon black contains 0.1-30 wt.% silicon (calculated as silicon dioxide with respect to the total weight). An Independent claim is included for a printing ink consisting of (A) and (B).
