The arrangement generates a servo force depending on the working angle between a drive shaft (42) coupled to the steering wheel and a driven shaft (14,28,30) connected to the wheels to be steered. A grooved component rotates with one shaft of the drive shaft and the driven shaft. A reaction force generator in contact with the other shaft of the drive shaft and the driven shaft is stationary in the shafts' radial direction and can be displaced in their axial direction to an extend limited to less than a defined value. An elastic part (40) presses one component (34) of the grooved part towards another component (52) and a component of the reaction force generator towards another of its components. An Independent claim is included for a rotary disc valve.
