Organ bath which incorporates a temperature-control system based on the Peltier effect

Bath which consists of a perfusion chamber into which a temperature system based on the Peltier effect has been incorporated. The semiconductor plate (board) which works on the basis of the Peltier effect is housed between the base of the perfusion chamber and the compartment containing the tissue or cells being studied. The Peltier device is joined by means of heat-conducting paste to an aluminium plate which in turn transmits this heat to the fluid and to the tubes whereby the saline solution is conveyed in its flow towards the bath. The present invention is extremely useful in physiology, "neuroethelogy", pharmacology, biophysics, cell biology and anatomy.
