PRESTRESSED CONCRETE STRUCTURE, REINFORCING MEMBER USED FOR PRESTRESSED CONCRETE MOLDINGS, AND SHEET MATERIAL FOR REINFORCING MEMBERS

A prestressed concrete structure provided with an elongated concrete molding having a pair of opposed side surfaces, a plurality of tension members extending transversely through the interior of the concrete molding from one of the two side surfaces to the other, fixed under tension at both end portions thereof to the side surfaces of the concrete molding and imparting a compressive load to the molding, side guards provided along both side surfaces of the concrete molding so as to cover end portions of the tension members, and reinforcing members provided on the side surfaces of the side guards and adapted to prevent the tension members, when broken under tension, from breaking through the concrete molding and projecting out from the side surfaces of the molding. The reinforcing members are formed so that they are difficult to extend on the inner side of the side guards in the lengthwise direction thereof and easy in the lateral direction thereof, so that when the tension members are broken and project out to push at their end portions the side surfaces of the side guards, the separation of the reinforcing members develops on the side surfaces of the side guards in the lengthwise direction of the concrete molding, while the separation difficultly develops in the lateral direction thereof.
