A coupling for connecting a male nozzle (23) on a compressed gas cartridge (20) to a gas apparatus (30) which also has a male intake nozzle (32) consists of a female holder shaped to receive both nozzles and seals (11). The seals are in the form of a single sleeve fitting over both nozzles and having an inner gas retaining groove. In a variant of the design the seal can comprise two toroid seals, and the holder is shaped to guide the two male nozzles so their open ends meet.
