<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make width of a refrigerator narrower even when a hinge bracket is not separated from a main body of the refrigerator after a door of the refrigerator is separated from the main body, by forming the hinge bracket in such a way that the bracket forms a pocket section for detachably housing hinge members when the bracket is fixed to the main body. SOLUTION: A door 9 of a refrigerating chamber of a refrigerator is attached to a main body 1 of the refrigerator, so that a hinge pin 27 may be housed in a hinge groove 20 formed at the lower end section of the door 9. When it becomes necessary to narrow the width of the refrigerator, on the other hand, the door of the freezing chamber of the refrigerator and the door 9 of the refrigerating chamber are separated from the main body 1 by reversely going through the process of attaching the door 9 to the main body 1. After the doors of the freezing and refrigerating chambers are separated from the main body, lower hinge members 25 and 27 are separated upward from lower hinge brackets 33 and 35. Therefore, the lower hinge members 25 and 26 are easily separated and the width of the refrigerator an be narrowed effectively even when the lower hinge brackets 33 and 35 firmly attached to the main body 1 are not detached.</p> |
