PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of smoothly performing perfecting printing, of preventing the apparatus body from being enlarged and of reducing the cost whereby a waiting time of a recording paper that is projected outside the apparatus body can be reduced when the perfecting printing is performed. SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus comprises a print data memory 34 for temporally storing inputted print data, printing means 13, 24 for performing printing on a recording paper 23 in accordance with the print data stored in the print data memory 34 and a first waiting position 12 for accommodating the recording paper 23 on which the printing is performed at one face by means of the printing means 13, 24. It further comprises a control section 18 for controlling the printing such that after the preceding recording paper 23 is advanced to the first waiting position 12, print data of the second page succeeding the print data of the first page printed on the preceding recording paper 23 is read to be developed to data which can be printed, then the succeeding recording paper 23 is supplied to the printing means 13, 24 and the printing is performed on one face of the recording paper 23 by the printing means 13, 24. |
