<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the adhesion of carbon in a particulate material to electrical insulating parts of a dust collecting means communicating a gas flow passage by providing this means with a hood so as to enclose the electrical insulating parts of the means and providing both flanks of a main body with outdoor air suction ports and bringing these outdoor air suction ports and the hood into tight contact with each other by a sealing material. SOLUTION: The main body 2 stows an ionization charging means 10 for generating a corona discharge by a DC high voltage and charging the particles in gas and the dust collecting means 20 for capturing and flocculating the particles charged by this ionization charging means 10 to a counter electrode by Coulomb force and forms the gas flow passage 4. The hood 24 is so disposed as to enclose the electrical insulating parts 22 of the dust collecting means 20 communication the gas flow passage 4. The hood 24 and the outdoor air suction ports 26 disposed on both flanks of the main body 2 are brought into tight contact by the sealing material 25. As a result, the adhesion of the carbon in the particulate material to the electrical insulating parts 22 of the main body 2 is prevented.</p> |
