The invention concerns a method and machines for creasing and in-line cutting of a solid fibreboard untrimmed size (1), corrugated or the like, for forming a package such as a regular slotted container, cardboard tray, drum-like case or part of said package having any cross section, from a flat blank (3) perfectly dimensioned and creased to provide accurate folding lines. The invention is characterised in that means are arranged such that the untrimmed size (1), extracted from a magazine (8), and transferred onto an anvil (9), is properly notched, advantageously in one operation, by one or several tools (10) such as die cutting machines, co-operating with suitable recesses (11) of the anvil (9) to release the discarded pieces of the notching and also, before, after or preferably simultaneously, creased by one or several tools (12) to mark the fibreboard compressed on the anvil (9), without cutting it, thereby providing the flat blank (3) for the package (2). |
