The distributor is constructed on a cradle like chassis (2), which carries an endless belt (3), forming the base of the cradle and driving the bale of material around its own axis (AB). A rotating rake (5) is mounted at the outlet end (3S) of the belt and strips material from the bale. The rotating rake is driven in rotation in either direction according to the requirement to eject material close (Arrow B) to the machine or at a distance (Arrow A) from it.
