The coin stacking unit has an outer frame (2) housing a number of stacking units (10a,10b). Each stacking unit has removable coin boxes that contain a number of tubes that have been filled with coins. Coins are fed to the top of a vibration table driven by a motor (3). This causes coins to fall into round openings in a buffer layer. Between the buffer layer and coin box is a shear plate that moves individual coins into the cylinders. Sensors monitor presence of coins.
