<p>The invention concerns a base station designed to serve a multilayer network microcell, comprising a wire interface (5) to be connected to a wire network (6), and an air interface (8) for radio communication with mobile stations operating by time division multiple access. Telephone communications involving a mobile station located within the equipment radio range can be set up via the wire network using the wire interface and the air interface. The air interface is arranged to transmit a beacon signal enabling its detection by a mobile station located within the equipment radio range, and for ceasing to transmit the beacon signal during a communication involving a mobile station and saturating the time intervals available on the beacon signal frequency.</p> |
