The invention relates to a method for authorizing the connection of a terminal of a telecommunications network (PLMN), comprising a control station (SCP) to conduct management services, in which the logon procedure is executed directly by the terminals concerned. The service provider makes available the connection on the telecommunications network (PLMN) for authorization purposes. The subscriber establishes a link with the control station (SCP) via a terminal (SMT) by means of the connection to the telecommunications network (PLMN) and transmits information to the control station (SCP) which is required to authorize the connection and for future management of the connection by the telecommunications network. The control station (SCP) processes the logon procedure on the basis of said information.
