PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a neatly finished package by preventing a film back part once folded down from being separated from the bottom face of a packaged article and by maintaining a good folded condition. SOLUTION: A film F is formed in a tube shape around an article 1 to be packaged by a bag making mechanism 1, and both end edges of the film F are overlaid and sealed at a bottom part by a bottom seal mechanism. When the article is carried to a cutter mechanism position, the carrying is stopped and the cutter mechanism works. At this time, by a push-in panel 20 provided in the cutter mechanism, both ends of the film F are guided to be fed in a pair of rollers 17, 17 of a film front part holding body 18 and a back part holding body 19. By a horizontal moving mechanism 28, the film back part holding body 19 is moved in a moving direction for the film F end to be folded down on the bottom face, and then the holding of the film F is released by a releasing mechanism.
