Device for washing filters containing granular materials, employed for biological water treatment. The device has the general form of a graph (1) placed above the filter in order to allow the aqueous washes to be collected and removed. It is of prismatic shape, with side faces (4, 4') forming an angle alpha of 45 to 70 degrees relative to the horizontal, each face being provided with two water spillways. Application to the treatment of sewage and of water to be made potable.
