PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve front luminance by enhancing the reutilization factor of light by obtaining a prism sheet which possesses excellent polarization performance and whose thickness is easily controlled in a manufacturing process. SOLUTION: Transparent film 17 consisting of a material whose refractive index is high is applied by a specified thickness along the surface of the prism to one face of a first base material 13 consisting of the material where prism trains are formed and whose refractive index is low. Also, the transparent film 17 consisting of the material whose refractive index is high is applied by the specified thickness along the surface of the prism to one face of the first base material 13 consisting of the material where the prism trains are formed and whose refractive index is low, and a second base material consisting of the material whose refractive index is low is applied to the surface of the transparent film 17 that is made into an uneven shape by profiling the prism trains, so that the surface of the transparent film is flattened. |
