SOLUTION: A control device for introducing air into an exhaust pipe of an internal combustion engine 1 is provided with an air introduction means 8 introducing air into the upstream of a catalyst 5 in the exhaust pipe 4 of the engine 1 through an air introduction pipe 9, exhaust emission temperature sensors 31 detecting each of the exhaust emission temperature of the inlet and outlet of the catalyst 5, and a stopping means to stop air introduction into the exhaust pipe 4 when the inlet temperature and outlet temperature of the catalyst 5 becomes equal to each other or the difference between their temperature becomes within a specified value.</p> |
