Sheet feed suction device

The suction device has a piston rod (3) which can be moved vertically in a guide bore (2) in a horizontally movable suction device carrier (1) between upper and lower positions. The piston rod carries a suction jet (4) on its lower end projecting from the bore. The piston rod is held in its upper position and can be moved to the lower position by pressurizing the piston to act against the clamping force. The piston is connected to the suction device carrier by a flexible wall around its rod at a clearance, forming a low pressure chamber (23).
