PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a hydrogenation catalyst of high inhibition resistance to hydrogen sulfide for desulfurizing the sulfur content in mineral oil to the extent of high degree which can be used for the hydrogenation denitrification, hydrogenation decomposition, hydrogenation aromatic group removal, hydrogenation refining and the like and provide a hydrogenation desulfurizing process for desulfurizing mineral oil to the extent of high degree using a hydrogenation catalyst. SOLUTION: At least one kind of active components A selected out of the periodic table of group VIII is carried on a carrier of Bronsted acid amount of 50 μm mol/g or more, or the first active component A and a second active component B of at least one kind selected out of the periodic table of group VI elements are carried on the carrier of acid amount of 50 μm mol/g or more. Mineral oil is desulfurized to the extent of high degree by using the hydrogenation catalyst. |
