PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive circuit which makes it possible to control the speed of an ultrasonic motor, over a wide speed range from minute smooth operation up to powerful high-speed operation. SOLUTION: On the basis of a command speed value inputted from a speed commanding section 42 for issuing a command speed for an ultrasonic motor 11, the number of driving pulses is outputted from a driving-pulse-number storing table 43, and a voltage of each driving pulse is outputted from an applied- voltage-value storing table 44. Using both of these, the number of the driving pulses and the applied voltage of each driving pulse, the speed of the ultrasonic motor 11 is controlled by an ultrasonic-motor-drive control unit 45. |
