An absorbent product (1) used as eg. incontinence pad, sanitary towel or panty liner and designed to be supported by the edge regions in an underwear garment contains an absorption layer (4) sandwiched between a liquid permeable layer (2) and a liquid impermeable layer (3). At least one tab (20, 21) attached to one of the length sides (16, 17) of the product is designed to be folded around the garment leg hole edges.The tab material contains at least one area of weakness (26) with a lower tear strength than the rest of the tab to form a tear line used to at least partially detach the tab from the length side of the product.
