PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the manufacture of a paste type plate, with which a manufacturing process is simplified, the manufacture of which is easily performed at low cost, a collector can be fitted stably and the sudden discharge characteristic of a battery is improved. SOLUTION: At least one surface of a slurry filled synthetic resin plate formed by filling a synthetic resin plate which has a three-dimensional net-like structure with slurry of metal fine powder overlapped with a slurry filled synthetic resin plate piece, having an area corresponding to a collector fitting area, and put in a heating furnace, and heated at a high temperature in the atmosphere of vacuum, inert gas or reducing gas, and the metal powder is sintered and the synthetic resin is eliminated so as to manufacture a porous metal substrate 1 with he three-dimensional net-like structure having a sintered thick part 2. This substrate is evenly pressurized over whole thereof, and a compressed part of the sintered thick part 2 is formed into a collector fitting plate, in which metal METSUKE (weight/unit area) quantity is remarkably increased in comparison with the metal METSUKE quantity of the substrate main body, and the collector fitting plate is formed in to a collector fitting compressed plate through pressing, and the porous metal substrate main body is filled with the active material paste, and dried, and pressurized. |
