<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data compressing circuit, capable of mutually transmitting processing conditions or throughput without requiring special signal interface, while using only a status signal, which expresses the reception of data, to be used for transmission. SOLUTION: For a status signal 31, a status signal frequency measuring circuit 16 measures the input number (frequency) of status signals 31 for each fixed interval. Corresponding to the frequency, a quantizing parameter operating circuit 17 operates a quantizing parameter 34. The frequency of status signals 31 shows a data amount requested by an external device 20. Therefore, when the frequency of status signals 31 is high, the quantizing parameter 34 is made fine, so that the amount of compressed data outputted from a post-processing part 13 can be increased, but when the frequency of status signals 31 is low, by making the quantizing parameter 34 coarse, the amount of compressed data outputted from the post-processing part 13 is decreased.</p> |
