PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform matching of an input word and a word registered with the system side without using a concept system or thesaurus in executing information retrieval by a key word or the like. SOLUTION: A degree of association matrix R for indicating the degree of association between each element as an element of the matrix is prepared (step s1), an input word is decomposed into element (step s2), each decomposed element is coordinated to each element in row or column direction of the matrix R (step s3), a multiplication of the matrix R is applied to this vector (x) at least once and a degree of association between elements vector (y) is obtained (step s4). Then, each element in a word registered with a system side is made to coordinate to each element in a line or row direction of the matrix R, the coordinate relationship is indicated by a vector (k) (step s5) and the degree of meaning association between the input word and the word registered with the system side is obtained on the basis of this vector (k) and the vector (y). |
