Telescopic link for the opening of a hinged cover e.g. for jet engine nacelle

The link (25) for maintaining open the cover (4) consists of two sections (26 and 28) of unequal lengths, one sliding inside the other. The end of one section pivots at point (27) on the cover (4) and the other pivots at point (30) on the engine. The locking and unlocking mechanism of the sections (26 and 28) is controlled by a lever adjacent to the pivoting point (27) on the cover. The link can therefore be controlled by the operator even when he is raising the cover.
