Procedure for controlling rotational transmission device

The procedure is described for controlling a rotational transmission device with a clutch which has an inner member, an outer ring and engaging elements located between them to transmit/interrupt rotational force selectively between them. There is also an electromagnetic clutch with a solenoid coil to engage and disengage the clutch. When the clutch is not engaged, a current of a lower level than is necessary to engage the clutch is passed to the solenoid coil of the electromagnetic clutch. The inner member and the outer ring are connected coaxially by bearings and can turn relative to one another. Either the one or the other is provided with a number of cam surfaces while the other has a cylindrical surface.
