The windshield-washing installation has a water container (20), spray nozzles (16,18) and a pump (22) which supplies water under pressure from the container to the nozzles. The pressure can be controlled according to the speed of the travel wind relative to the car. It can also be controlled according to the speed of the car. The pump is driven electrically and is speed-controlled. A sensor (24,46) generates a speed-dependent signal for the control of the pump. Between the pump and the nozzle is wired a pressure control valve which is controlled electrically according to identical parameters.
