BIODEGRADABLE FILM AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

A plastic film which is improved in brittleness and not too flexible, has practically nonproblematic properties and heat-sealability nondeteriorated even after the lapse of time, and is degradable in the natural environment. The film comprises a lactic acid polymer and another aliphatic polyester in a weight ratio ranging from 80/20 to 20/80 and is characterized by exhibiting a heat of melting, DELTA Hm1, of 35 J/g or less in terms of lactic acid polymer when heated.
