FIELD: railway transport; permanent way. SUBSTANCE: rail fastening has rail chair projections directed downwards for fixing relative to flats of rail chair plate. Rail chair has also upward projections orientated along each side of rail and made differing in width "a" and "c" for engagement of each projection with vertical flat of rail foot and with flat of rail chair plate pointed inwards and orientated along rail. projections of rail chair directed downwards are made differing in width "k" and "d" and differing in width with projections directed upwards. Distance between inner flats of projections directed upwards and downwards is made equal to width "b" of rail. Rail chair in plan over outer flats is made square with sides in cross direction equal to sum "a"+"c"+"b" and in longitudinal direction, equal to sum "k" - "d" - "b".
