The circuit is built on a heat conducting base plate attached to cooling fins. The electronic speed control comprises a radiator for excess heat produced within the controlling circuit. The radiator (13) is formed by the base of the box (1) within which the circuit is built. This base plate is used as the foundation for mounting heat generating components, such as capacitors (9). The radiator comprises a flat plate with a series of parallel fins (32) projecting from the rear surface. This is attached to the base plate of the box by means of a thin, flexible, heat-conducting layer ensuring good thermal contact between the components and the radiator.
