The attachment procedure is for a nipple (1) made from corrosion-resistant steel to be attached onto a container (6), e.g. the heat exchanger for a water heater, made of rust-free steel. The nipple is soldered to the container with an annular foil (8) of hard (eg bronze) solder as an intermediate layer. Alternatively, a ring of hard solder is laid in a recess at the back of the nipple and is melted by squeezing the nipple of the container. The region near the hole (5) in the container is turned outwards to form a collar upon which the nipple is shoved before soldering. |
