PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a division recording method for recording one recording region by repeating the scanning a plurality of times in which a connecting streak is prevented from occurring at the boundary of scanning regions due to uneven density. SOLUTION: Boundary parts of 4 nozzle width are provided for respective scanning regions corresponding to four divided arrays of nozzles n1-n24 in a recording head 813. Number of scanning times for the boundary part is set at 3 which is smaller than other regions (duty is 4/3 times as large as that of other regions) and three time of scanning are conducted simultaneously between adjacent boundary parts. According to the arrangement, scanning time difference can be eliminated in the recording of respective regions on the boundary of respective scanning regions.
