PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for forming an image which enable easy attainment of prints of high image quality in a small number of sheets, one to several sheets in particular, by using a lithographic printing system. SOLUTION: This apparatus for forming an image is equipped with ink 1 of which the viscoelasticity is changed by a change in temperature and which solidifies in reaction to light, a recording body 2 which has a surface layer having ink repulsing properties and a wavelength conversion layer held by transparent electrodes, an ink supplying mechanism 4 which supplies the ink 1 to the recording body 2, a laser light source 6 which emits a laser light corresponding to image information on the ink 1 being in contact with the recording body 2, from the recording body 2 side, and an impression cylinder 8 which transfers the ink 1 on the recording body 2 to an object 7 of transfer. |
