<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize high speed exposure at low cost. SOLUTION: At the time of scanning exposure, an interval for performing image recording of 1 pixel in the main scanning direction is divided into two sections. During first halt section, a predetermined voltage is not applied to a piezoelectric actuator 52 which can shift every five LED chips 208R, 208G and 208B arranged in a light source section 204 along the subscanning direction in the subscanning direction and each LED chip 208 is not shifted in the subscanning direction but odd lines are exposed. During second half section, a predetermined voltage is applied to the piezoelectric actuator 52 which shifts each LED chip 208 by 1 pixel in the subscanning direction to effect exposure of even lines. According to the arrangement, lines equal to two times of the number of LED chips 208 arranged along the subscanning direction cart be exposed at the light source section 204 by single main scanning.</p> |
