PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a ventilator maintaining PEEP(positive end-expiratory pressure) by a simple and reliable method. SOLUTION: In the ventilator, a pressure gaze 30 and/or a flow rate meter 22 are connected to an inhalation line 6 between an exhalation valve and the remote tip part of the line 6 and a control unit 20 adjusts the flow rate of gas passing through the line 6 to maintain positive end-expiratory pressure between exhalation based on measured pressure and/or flow rate. |
