PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance collision energy absorption characteristic by enabling a wiper pivot to sink downward in the event of a vehicle collision, and allowing the rear end portion of an engine hood to be freely deformed downward. SOLUTION: When a collision load not smaller than a predetermined value axially works on a wiper pivot 4, a C-ring 7 of circular cross section which prevent slip off of the wiper pivot 4 is pressed by the upper edge of a bearing hole 3 in a pivot holder 1 and the upper edge of an annular groove 6, slides radially outwards relative to the edges, and is disconnected from the annular groove 6, so that the wiper pivot 4 slides downward and sinks, increasing the downward crushing deformation stroke of the rear end portion of an engine hood 12 and enhancing collision energy absorption characteristic.
