PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient and rational bar code reader for reading a bar code such as a physical distribution merchandise code. SOLUTION: Switching to a flag f1=0 and F1=1 is operated according to an input form a set value inputting part 38. When the flag F1=0 is set, bar code information is outputted as long as margin detection succeeds in a margin recognizing part 32. When the flag F1=1 is set, the bar code information is outputted when the collation coincidence of a start code or the like is obtained even when the margin detection fails. |
