PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-destruction inspecting method for polymer glass, which can inspect the defect of an FRP core in a polymer insulator without destruction. SOLUTION: The non-destruction inspecting method is to inspect the defect of the FRP core in the polymer insulator 1 constituted of he FRP core, an envelope part 3 provided at the periphery of the FRP core and a grasping metal fitting 6 fixed to at least one end of the FRP core. At the time of an extension test after the assembly of the polymer insulator, an acoustic emission signal is detected and the defect of the FRP core is discriminated based on the detected acoustic emission signal. |
