PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for adjusting a distance measuring device which is composed of inexpensive parts and enables efficient adjustment in a narrow space. SOLUTION: When light for adjustment is projected to IRED1 (infrared light emitting diode) in a predetermined direction, and an IRED holder 9 provided with a projection lens 2 is fixed at a position of the maximum value of photoelectric conversion output to adjust the direction of projection. When a PSD (position detection element) is arranged in the direction of a light receive axis having a predetermined angle for the direction of projection axis between the IRED1 arranged when an object apart from a distance measuring device by a first distance is at a distance measuring position for adjustment and the object, first light for adjustment is projected on the IRED1 along and on the projection axis by a second distance shorter than the first distance, and second light for adjustment is projected on the PSD along and on the light receive axis for adjustment. |
