Loader for sprocket wheels or double helical gears (11) for a machine to generate gears by pinion shaped cutters (14), the machine including a gear bearing table having a centering device (25) and a rotatable supporting base (15), the loader comprising a turntable (12) advancing step-by-step about the axis of rotation (33) of said base (15), the turntable (12) including on the periphery a plurality of gear holders (18), which can be intermittently positioned at the cutting station (23) and at the discharge station (24) of the completed gears (11) and to replace the gears (19) to be worked. Said holders (18) having retaining and containing means (20a, 20b) which surround the gear (19) for the whole of its perimeter except for the front aperture (18a) through which the cutter (14) passes, the retaining and containing means (20a, 20b) being relatively movable to accommodate gears of different sizes. |
