The one-piece latching part (3c) of the catch is attached to the shank (3a) and can be locked in position by a locking part (5), which can be moved into its unlocked position by the door handle. The latching part of the catch is then free to move by pivoting. Preferably the first part of handle opening movement moved the locking part and the following part withdraws the catch.
