Method of detecting objects on motor vehicle windscreen

The method involves detecting a section of the windscreen from the interior with an optical sensor array (4) focused on the outside of the screen with a number of individual image points. The local frequency distributions (S(f)) of structures (s(x)) in the detected image are detected and compared (14) with reference distributions. If sufficient coincidence is detected, an actuator control signal can be generated. An Independent claim is also included for an arrangement for carrying out the method.
