A magnetic tape cassette comprises a cassette case (2), a pair of reels (3, 4), a reel lock member (10), first stopper parts (20, 21; 44, 45) and second stopper parts (17a, 18a). The reel lock member (10) is engageable with the flanges (5, 6) of the reels and includes a slide shell part (11), a pair of securing arms (14, 15; 42, 43) projected from the slide shell part and provided with leading ends (14a, 15a; 42a, 43a), and a spring member (24) urging the slide shell part to engage the securing with the flanges. The securing arms include hinge portions (12, 13; 40, 41) between the leading ends and the slide shell part. The first stopper parts (20, 21; 44, 45) restrict an amount of inward swing motion of the leading ends. The second stopper parts (17a, 18a) restrict an amount of the outward swing motion of the leading ends. |
